Digestive & Skin Support

BALANCING YOUR AGNI IS THE KEY TO DIGESTIVE HEALTH
The digestive fire is called Agni. When your Agni is in balance, your digestive system is able to do its job.

In a healthy person, stomach acid and digestive enzymes are so strong that they destroy unfriendly bacteria, viruses, funguses and even parasites. These foreign invaders are able to penetrate your body’s defenses only when your Agni is low. Digestive dysfunction can be linked not only to common digestive disorders such as acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), but also to mood disorders, learning disorders, weight gain, chronic fatigue, skin problems, allergies, joint problems and just about any other chronic symptom or degenerative health problem that can be named.

SKIN IS THE MIRROR OF INNER HEALTH
The skin is the very mirror of inner health. As we are taught from a young age, the external body is simply the manifestation of everything that happens inside, including the emotions.

Vata Skin – Is generally dry, thin, delicate and cool to the touch. It may get dehydrated easily and is very vulnerable to the influence of dry, windy weather. Vata skin may tend to age faster.

Pitta Skin – Tends to be fair, sensitive, soft, warm and of medium thickness. Pitta skin is more prone to freckles and moles than the other Dosha types. When out of balance, Pitta skin can flare up in rashes, rosacea, acne and sunspots.

Kapha Skin – Tends toward being oily, thick, pale, soft and cool. Kapha is more tolerant of the sun and tends to age slower, while forming fewer wrinkles than the other two types. Kapha skin may be prone to dullness, enlarged pores, excessive oil, blackheads, and pimples, moist types of eczema, and water retention.

Combination Skin – Can be:

Vata-Pitta (dry and sensitive)
Kapha Pitta (oily and sensitive)
Vata-Kapha (generally dry with some oiliness).
